Great ideas are often accidents. And so it is with “Playing for Change.”
What started as a documentary film project morphed into an effort to inspire, educate, and validate people who have few, if any, resources. The project is supported by those who believe in its worth but is fueled by the resilience of the human spirit.
It speaks to me in many languages, but the translation is the same: nothing bonds us, uplifts us, and unites us like music — and music is love.
Call me a romantic and a dreamer if you will. It matters not to me. I will always adhere to the principle that when all else fails, let us lift our voices in song; and if we can’t sing, then dance brothers and sisters…dance.
